When I Grow Up...

Sharing the unique stories that make us who we are

When I Grow Up is about getting to know others through stories of their past. It is about connecting with who they were to better understand who they are, celebrating where people came from in order appreciate who they have become.

One-to-one dance interventions for public spaces

The performative aspect of project centres around delivering one-to-one dance interventions in public spaces. Performers subtly strike up unique encounters with members of the public, sharing episodes of their upbringing through meticulously choreographed and improvised movement and spoken words. Rather than limiting the art of movement to the stage, this work aims to bring dance directly to the public and engage them as active participants of the performative work. The result is a genuine moment of connection that breaks the boundaries between the performer and the viewer.
